Alisa Hinikom (Basila on the walls) is a polymorphic artist, born in Moscow.
She began her career with a first job in photography. After more then ten years of work, Hinikom's photos are presented in several printed editions. It stays a source of inspiration and gives her fast ability to capture various compositions and slick moments.
In 2015 she graduated from the Stroganov Academy of Art and Industry as a glass specialist. Traditional academic education gave her the tools to draw, paint, and work with different glass techniques.
After studies, she traveled a lot, painting graffiti, murals and canvases, working on series of jewelry and vases, lightings, and she finally decided to settle in France, in Lyon.
In 2017, Alisa painted a series of canvases that was presented in Belfort, France. It allowed her to connect all the stories, and she began to tell a new one. At this point, the forms she repeats in her work change into symbols, connected by white or black lines.
Some of these shapes are filled with lines and all with tension, others completely bare and without outlines, turns to simple geometry, and reconnects as mosaic.
Her paintings are full of vibration, colour aberration, always visually distorted, are researching on optical 'optimistic' sensitivity.
